The Federal Government of the United States has, for too long, usurped authority that belongs to the individual 50 states and it must be reigned in. If we don’t stop the runaway spending, the oppressive taxes, their attitude of absolute authority and their disdain for We the People, we will find ourselves living in a totalitarian country!
Yesterday was the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall and the wall was only destroyed because there were a people behind it that yearned to breathe free! They desired liberty more than any tangible object the government could provide for them.
Do you see the irony, America? Twenty years after the most dramatic march to freedom that broke the shackles of tyranny from half a continent, the beacon of freedom to the world – America - is blindly or willingly committing herself to a future in bondage.
Why? Have we decided that living free isn’t desirable any longer? Do we think the federal government is better equipped to make all of life’s decisions for us? Do we think that if we give in to one more government takeover, they will finally be satisfied and leave us alone? Wake up, America! The people in charge of the federal government will never be satisfied! No matter what we give them, no matter what they force us to give, no matter what they promise – they will never, ever be satisfied and soon we will find ourselves standing in line waiting for them to hand us our daily bread! Isn’t this what we ask God to provide? Is that how we see our government today – as God? Please, tell me no!
This is not what our government was meant to be. Our Founding Fathers gave us a Republic with three branches of government that were supposed to ‘check and balance’ one another so the freedom of the people would be guaranteed but We the People have allowed the federal government to grow into an insatiable, arrogant, power hungry, corrupt, freedom killing colossus that will destroy us all.
We called them in September 2008 and told them not to pass the TARP bill. They passed it. We called and told them not to pass the stimulus bill. They passed it. We protested on April 15th and told them to stop their reckless spending. They have tripled the deficit in less than a year. We stood up last August at the town hall meetings and told them not to pass government controlled health care legislation. Approximately, two million of us went to Washington on 9/12 and told them we are dissatisfied with their attitude toward us and with the bills they are passing. They ignored us. Thousands of us were in Washington on November 5th and 7th telling the Congress not to pass their unconstitutional health care bill. They passed it. No matter what we say, they do the opposite.
Well, we’ve gotten their message. Now, it’s time for us to send another message to our federal ‘representatives’ and I think we should start back at the beginning with this:
When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.
It is time for another American Revolution. Please, don’t misunderstand – I am not calling for an overthrow of the government and I am not calling for taking up arms against the government. Our Founding Fathers gave us the means for revolution that is lawful and bloodless.
First, we need to continue to call and voice our deep, sincere displeasure with the health care bill, the spending, the hostile takeover of industry, property, etc. but we need to shift our calls to the US Senate.
Second, we need to start contacting our State Senators and State Representatives about this federal government usurpation of the rights and authorities of the States. We cannot allow this unlawful federal government to continue down the road it has chosen. We the People must encourage our state governments to take their rightful positions and constrict the federal government to the level of authority rightfully given it by the Constitution.
There are several things the States can do. They can nullify all federal laws that are unconstitutional. They can abolish the income tax, thereby stopping the flow of money to the federal government and giving them no means of financial support. I know this sounds drastic but we need drastic action to completely halt this out of control, oppressive federal behemoth.
Please, watch these two segments with Judge Andrew Napolitano and, like me, call your State Senator and State Representative tomorrow. Encourage your friends and families to do the same. We the People must stop allowing this to continue unless the thought of living in a tyrannical, totalitarian nation is appealing.
