In case you don't know, the Executive branch of our Federal government is being run by lawless people in a lawless manner. This fact becomes more and more clear on a daily basis. The sad thing is, no one in Congress is standing up to these people trying to stop their evil deeds.
I just listened to a clip of Rush from today where he describes the plan of Obama to create a court within the Executive branch to adjudicate all health care litigation. Do you comprehend the enormity of this statement? This is his attempt to begin elimination of the Judicial branch of our government.
He has already canceled the authority of the US Congress by having them (!) vote for new, broad, sweeping powers to be given to the Executive branch. Congress voted for these new powers and they have, in effect, made themselves irrelevant. This has all happened so rapidly that it's extremely difficult to stay abreast of the changes.
I don't believe America will survive this. I have tried to be hopeful that we would be able to overturn the damage done by Obama but I no longer have any hope for our nation. The assault by this man and his comrades has been too rapid and is too overwhelming.
Therefore, if you own land, it's time to start farming your land so you can provide food for you and your family. If you don't own land, sell what you can to buy land. We may have one to two years left.

John Maynard Keynes advanced the theory Barack Obama is using.
As you can see by the headline above, the EU has been using the Keynes theory for some time (Greece!) but they have discovered it leads to destruction. Mr. Obama intends to continue using Keynesian economics in the United States.

Radical Islamists hold recruitment drive in Chicago
One thing that we must remember and realize. Although the media would like us to believe that Islam is a peaceful religion except for a few nut cases it is not. If you are a Muslim then you believe that the heads of the "infidel" need to roll. Maybe not yet but at an appointed time. If you don't believe that then renounce the Muslim faith. It is far from peaceful. Just read the Koran.
Instead of the word "Radical Islamist" I prefer "Impatient Islamist".
These people should be run out of our country.

This is the result of big government and is the reason the Founders of this country wrote the Constitution in order to limit the duties and power of the Federal government. They knew if the feds were allowed to operate unchecked (which they are!) we would have this complete, total, absolute, madness in charge of us and controlling more and more of our lives. The Governor of Louisiana is being hindered by the Federal government from protecting his coast and because of that the oil is coming ashore. Frankly, he has been hindered by them since the start of this catastrophe.
Why have We the People allowed this government to grow to the size it is today? And, don't look now, but they continue to grab more and more power from the States and from the people. It never ends!!
Mark Levin believes we are now living under a soft tyranny and I think he's right. The question is, when does the hard tyranny begin? It's coming.
The worst is yet to come!!

It's a Shakedown to Give Obama Another Slush Fund
I understand Republicans are distancing themselves from Mr. Barton and one congressman has called for him to step down from the committee. I hope he holds his ground. He is right about this shakedown and slush fund. The law requires BP to give a maximum of $75 million for this accident. Evidently, the Chicago thugocracy in the White House made them an offer they couldn't refuse.

UPDATE II: Read the account of this incident by The Washington Post. The Post makes excuses for the maniacal congressman and blames the students for his assault of the young man even going so far to call it a "hug," not an assault. This is outrageous!
There is another "news" organization that shall remain nameless, but whose initials are MS-NBC, reporting this may have been a setup by these students. Really? So, these students plotted with someone that knew the congressman would assault them if they asked whether or not he supported Obama's agenda. Seriously? And the other member of the plot told them to be sure to video the encounter? Right.
This is becoming a leftist pattern. First, Democrats and news media attacked (and continue to do so) South Carolina Senate candidate, Alvin Greene, as mentally ill and as an election "plant." Today, the same people are attacking unknown students speculating they may be "plants" that were assaulted by a sitting Democrat congressman because they had the nerve to ask him a question.
If the congressman were a Republican, the media and other lawmakers would be screaming for his resignation and for charges to be filed. Why aren't we??

National Flag Day
My fellow Americans:
Today we celebrate Flag Day, the birthday of our Stars and Stripes. As we think back over the history of our nation's flag, we remember that the story of its early years was often one of hardship and trials, sometimes a fight for simple survival.
Such is the story behind our Star-Spangled Banner. It was 2 years into the War of 1812, and America seemed to be teetering on the edge of defeat. The British had already taken our Capital and burned the White House. Baltimore was the next target in a grand design to divide our forces and crush this newly independent nation of upstart colonies. All that stood between the British and Baltimore were the guns of Fort McHenry, blocking their entry into Baltimore Harbor.
The British bombardment lasted for 25 hours. Through the dark hours of the night, the rockets fired and the bombs exploded. And a young American patriot named Key, held captive aboard a British ship, watched anxiously for some proof, some sign, that liberty would prevail. You can imagine his joy when the next morning, in the dawn's early light, he looked out and saw the banner still flying -- a little tattered and torn, but still flying proudly above the ramparts. Fort McHenry and the brave men manning it had withstood the assault. Baltimore was saved. The United States, this great experiment in human freedom, as George Washington described it, would endure.
Thinking back to those times, one realizes that our democracy is so strong because it was forged in the fires of adversity. In those dark days of the war, it must have been easy to give in to despair. But our forefathers were motivated by a cause beyond themselves. From the harsh winter of Valley Forge to the blazing night above Fort McHenry, those patriot soldiers were sustained by the ideals of human freedom. Through the hardships and the setbacks, they kept their eyes on that ideal and purpose, just as through the smoke of battle they kept a lookout for the flag. For with the birth of our nation, the cause of human freedom had become forever tied to that flag and its survival.
As the American Republic grew and prospered and new stars were added to the flag, the ideal of freedom grew and prospered. From the rolling hills of Kentucky to the shores of California to the Sea of Tranquility on the Moon, our pioneers carried our flag before them, a symbol of the indomitable spirit of a free people. And let us never forget that in honoring our flag, we honor the American men and women who have courageously fought and died for it over the last 200 years, patriots who set an ideal above any consideration of self. Our flag flies free today because of their sacrifice.
And I hope you all will join Nancy and me and millions of other Americans at 7 o'clock this evening, eastern daylight time, when we pause a few minutes to say the Pledge of Allegiance. Though separated by many miles, we will be together in our thoughts. These anniversaries remind us that the great American experiment in freedom and democracy has really just begun. They remind us of the terrible hardships our forefathers willingly endured for their beliefs. And they challenge us to match that greatness of spirit in our own time, and I know we will. We are, after all, the land of the free and the home of the brave.
If we ask ourselves what has held our nation together, what has given it the strength to endure and the spirit to achieve, we find the answer in our families and those basic family values of work, hope, charity, faith, and love. So, it's appropriate that this year Father's Day falls on the same weekend as Flag Day, for in commemorating fatherhood, we're also expressing a basic truth about America. What does fatherhood mean today in America? I guess the same as it always has.
Fatherhood can sometimes be walking the floor at midnight with a baby that can't sleep. More likely, fatherhood is repairing a bicycle wheel for the umpteenth time, knowing that it won't last the afternoon. Fatherhood is guiding a youth through the wilderness of adolescence toward adulthood. Fatherhood is holding tight when all seems to be falling apart; and it's letting go when it is time to part. Fatherhood is long hours at the blast furnace or in the fields, behind the wheel or in front of a computer screen, working a 12-hour shift or doing a 6-month tour of duty. It's giving one's all, from the break of day to its end, on the job, in the house, but most of all in the heart.
Now, if you are thinking, ``Look who's talking -- he's a father himself.'' Well, that's right, but on today I think we could all remember -- this weekend, at least -- that every father is also a son. So, on this day for fathers, we, too, say thanks to America's dads -- for the labor and legacy of our families and our freedoms.

Remarks on East-West Relations at the Brandenburg Gate in West Berlin
Please, forgive my posting this a day later than the actual anniversary.
This speech was delivered by President Ronald Reagan on June 12, 1987 when the Communist Soviet Union still engaged the United States in a Cold War and the Berlin Wall still stood dividing East and West Germany. It is the speech where Reagan said,

Listen carefully to what Reagan says contrasting the Soviet economy with the German economy and the great, prosperous American economy. It was Reagan's policies that caused America to prosper and that same America is watching as all of his accomplishments, for the country he loved, are being rapidly dismantled and reversed.
Like the Soviet Union in 1987, we will be the people living in a country that is a failure because of a lack of American leadership and a war on freedom in our land.
We miss you, Mr. President.

Standing so near the Berlin Wall, seeing it in substance as well as for what it symbolized, I felt an anger well up in me, and I am sure this anger was reflected in my voice when I said those words.
I never dreamed that in less than three years the wall would come down and a six-thousand-pound section of it would be sent to me for my presidential library.
I tell the story of this speech here as a reminder that, with all the changes that have occured in their nation and Eastern Europe since then, in the spring of 1987 we were still facing a lot of uncertainty regarding the Soviets: Gorbachev had announced his new programs of perestroika and glasnost and it was evident something was up in the Soviet Union, but we still didn't know what it was.

If Alvin Greene were the Republican nominee for US Senate in South Carolina and the Republicans treated him the way he has been treated by the Democrats/Leftists/Progressives there would be a roar across this nation that could be heard around the world. The perpetual charge of racism would be the 24/7 news cycle from now until November and every Republican/Conservative would be painted as the worst bigoted, gun toting, Bible thumping, narrow-minded redneck in the country!
The people of South Carolina have spoken by giving Mr. Greene 60% of the vote and choosing him to be their nominee to face Senator Jim DeMint (R-SC) in the mid-term election. If you don't like their choice, that's too bad. The Democrat party needs to treat Mr. Greene with the same respect any other US Senate candidate deserves.
It's past time Democrats listen to the people about what they want. God knows they haven't listened since January 20, 2009.

Obama Wants $50B More
Republicans need to block this and all other new spending until Obama is voted out in 2012 (that's if America still exists in 2012!). The president is determined to bankrupt the country and drive us over the cliff. It's time for Congress to stop giving him the fuel to do it.
He must be stopped and with 41 Republicans in the Senate he can be, if they will be courageous instead of cowardly. Saying "No" to spending must start somewhere and this is as good a place as any. Call your congressman. - Reggie
